I must have written at least 50 poems for the creative writing (poetry) class I took last fall. This spring, I took a creative writing (fiction) class, and all I got out of it was a deep belief that I should consider a different outlet for my creative energies. Needlepoint, perhaps.

Fortunately, I got over it.

I have one or two decent poems to share... perhaps as many as five, depending on how the revisions go. (Actually, revisions mark twelve, but who's counting?) I also have a brand-new story idea or two kicking around in my brain, so if I can make myself do some work, that may actually appear here.

In the meantime, most of my creative projects have been plant-related. My purple basil is growing like mad, and my heirloom tomatoes are happy campers. Mr. Stripey in particular is showing great promise, but the Black from Tula is not far behind. I should post pictures of them, since they are the main project I'm pouring all my time and energy into lately.
